Claude Code

Claude Code can work with ChatCut in two different ways: as the host of the Agent Plugin, or as a locally installed agent selected inside ChatCut Desktop. Choose the path based on where you want the main conversation to live.

Install the Agent Plugin in Claude Code Desktop

1. In ChatCut web, open the top-right avatar menu.
2. Hover Agent Plugin and select Copy beside Claude Code.
3. Open Claude Code Desktop, start a new conversation, paste the copied prompt, and send it.
4. Complete ChatCut browser authorization.
5. When installation finishes, click New session. Plugin tools do not appear retroactively in the installer conversation.
6. In the new session, make a request that names ChatCut.

/goal Read chatcut.io/claude to install and use the ChatCut plugin

Select Claude Code inside ChatCut Desktop

Open a Desktop project, click the current agent control below the AI composer, then choose Agent Selection → Claude Code. Complete Sign in if shown. This uses the compatible Claude Code installation detected on the same computer and its own provider quota.
