Templates

Templates is a browser for reusable, prebuilt editing content. It appears in the media panel when templates are enabled for the current product and account.

  1. Open the Templates tab beside My Assets and Library.
  2. Browse Popular and the available category chips. Select Favorite to show templates you have saved.
  3. Hover or select a template card to inspect its preview and actions.
  4. Select Add to timeline to place the template at the current playhead, or drag the card directly onto a compatible Timeline track. Select Use with AI to attach the template to the current Agent request.
  5. Replace placeholder media or text in the Timeline and Inspector after adding it.

A template adds editable content to the project; it does not replace the source media in My Assets. If the Templates tab is absent, it is not available in the current surface or rollout. Use Skills for reusable AI workflows and Design Styles for generation styling—those are different from editor templates.

Save and remove Favorite templates

Select the star on a catalog card to add that template to Favorite. Select the active star again to remove it. A published template cannot be removed from Favorite until it is unpublished; ChatCut shows this restriction when it applies.

You can also turn one of your Motion Graphics into a reusable Favorite template:

  1. Open My Assets and find the Motion Graphic.
  2. Right-click its card and choose Add as template to Favorite.
  3. Wait for the template to be created, then open Templates → Favorite to find it.

This command is available for a single Motion Graphic when the Templates browser is enabled. It creates a reusable template entry; the original Motion Graphic remains in My Assets.

See My Assets / Media Pool, Skills / My Skills, and Design Styles / My Styles.
