The Voice Library contains narration voices you can preview and attach to an AI request. My Voices contains voices you have cloned and saved for your account.
Where do I find voices?
- Open a project and go to the AI composer.
- Select the waveform icon labeled Voices below the message field.
- Use the play button to preview a voice under Featured or My Voices.
- Select Browse all voices to open the full Voice Library with search and filters.
The full library is in the Gen Kit window beside Skill Marketplace and Design Style.
How do I use a voice for narration?
In the compact Voices menu, select the name of a voice. In the full library, select Use on its card. ChatCut attaches the voice to your current AI draft.
Then write the narration task—for example, what script to speak, which language to use, and where the voiceover should go—and send the request. Selecting a voice does not generate audio by itself; the attached voice and your prompt work together.
Custom-voice narration is plan-gated. If your current plan cannot use a voice from My Voices, ChatCut opens the upgrade dialog before adding it to the request.
How do I clone my voice?
- Open Voices and select Clone Voice. You can also open Browse all voices, switch to My Voices, and select the Clone Voice card.
- Confirm that you own the voice or have permission to clone it, and that you will not use it for impersonation, fraud, or unlawful purposes.
- Choose the recording language.
- Select Start recording and read the displayed passage naturally, or select Upload audio.
- Provide 10 seconds to 3 minutes of reference audio. Thirty seconds or more is recommended.
- Keep the window open while ChatCut creates the voice and preview.
- Compare Cloned voice preview with Original audio.
- If needed, edit Preview text and select Regenerate preview. One free preview regeneration is available for that voice.
- Enter a Voice name, then select Save. The result appears in My Voices.
Supported reference uploads are AAC, FLAC, M4A, MP3, OGG, WAV, and WebM, up to 25 MB. A quiet recording, the wrong microphone, background noise, music, or several speakers can reduce cloning quality.
How do I manage My Voices?
Open Voices to preview, use, or delete a custom voice. You can also manage it from the My Voices tab in the full Voice Library.
To delete one, select the trash icon or Delete Voice, then confirm Delete. Deletion cannot be undone, and the voice can no longer be used for new narration. It frees one voice slot, but audio already generated with that voice remains in your projects.
If you reach your voice limit, the dialog tells you whether to delete an existing voice or upgrade. The current limit and upgrade options shown in ChatCut are the source of truth for your account.
