The Viewer shows the active Timeline at the playhead. The control row above the Timeline handles playback and several common edit actions.
Play and navigate
- Select Play / Pause, or press Space.
- Drag the yellow playhead or click the Timeline ruler to scrub.
- Use the time display to read the current position and total duration.
- Use Timeline zoom controls or Zoom to Fit; zoom changes only the Timeline view, not the exported video.
- Select Fullscreen, or press the backtick key, for a larger preview.
Editing controls near playback
The same row contains Split, Snapping, Record, canvas aspect ratio, and Captions. Split acts at the playhead on the selected clip. Aspect-ratio presets change the canvas for the active Timeline. Captions opens the active caption controls and styles.
Playback quality is a working preview and can differ from final export quality. If the Viewer is blank, check that the playhead is over a visible clip and that its video track is not hidden.
See Timeline, Record Voiceover, Camera, and Screen, and Export Panel.
